Danger, Danger, Will Robinson! Database Malfunction!
In light of my recent database malfunction, an ill-formatted backup, and the daunting task of reassembling my broken website, I'm reminded of a little story:
There was once a debate between heaven and hell as to who was the best graphic designer: Lucifer or Jesus. So, they decided to wage a contest. Each entity was tasked with creating a brochure to entice folks to visit their respective realms. They were given an hour to complete their task... starting NOW! Each Being sat at their computers typing and mousing away - compiling images and composing text, and just as the hour came to a close, the power blipped off and on. When all of a sudden Lucifer burst into a tirade of cursing and swearing - banging his fists against the keyboard, and knocking his monitor to the floor. While Jesus calmly hit PRINT on his machine to complete his creation. The punch line? Unlike the devil, Jesus Saves.
So, please bear with me while I manage to get my house back in order, and rest assured: I have joined the ranks of the converted. I now backup my site religiously.
